Night out in Worcester, never been there before. Looking for bars in the centre, good pubs too, and somewhere to eat.

Help!

The Olive Branch does a good tapas menu, or Chesters is nice if you fancy Mexican. The area round the cathedral has had a bit of a face lift recently and there are a lot of chain restaurants there: Miller & Carter if you fancy steak, Cote Brasserie, and any number of pizza/pasta places.

There's a Bottles - wine bar/wine shop hybrid.

Can't help with the bars/pubs - there are a couple of questionable night clubs...

Some very dodgy nightclubs but we like The Hand in Glove near the Cathedral for drinks especially interesting cocktails. Opposite Bottles there is another cocktail bar called The Brick Room - although I would advise not going into Alexanders next door as there has been all sorts of trouble there.

If you are looking for pubs then King Charles (also on New Street) does a pie and a pint - lovely ales and cider there.

We like Saffrons for a good (but expensive) meal out and there is also the Thai Gallery on Friar Street if you fancy that type.

Sugo (Italian) for dinner and the Lamb and Flag below is good for drinks. I recently had a lovely meal at the Globe Bistro. I also like Primo for food and drinks.

Thanks, we used loads of these recommendations and had a brilliant night! We also went to the bar on the rooftop at Han Bao which is great.

We will be back...
