OH still at work DD is sick chest infection covered in rash as she is allergic to amoxicillin with a high temperature so don't want to drag her round shops. Don't fancy junk food from the takeaway any other ideas? DS keeps moaning that he's hungry so he's having a yoghurt at the minute.

What do you have in?

Rickandportly · 09/07/2019 18:29

Got deliveroo where you are? Lots of places, not all junk.

Anotherbloodyname123 · 09/07/2019 18:30

You don't have any food, you don't want a takeaway and you don't want to go to the shops... Erm, magic? Conjure a spell?

ValleyoftheHorses · 09/07/2019 18:32

Do you have any tins/ packets?
Pasta pesto? Pasta and tomato sauce? Tuna and sweetcorn pasta?
Beans on toast?
Tin of soup?

PickAChew · 09/07/2019 18:33

Beans on toast?

Anotherbloodyname123 · 09/07/2019 18:34

Surely op can look in her cupboards??

Chewbecca · 09/07/2019 18:35

I'd still get a takeaway but either a chicken kebab or pasta and sauce. (I.e. a little lighter and fresher than curry/Chinese/pizza)
Also keep M&S tinned curry in the house for such occasions, served with rice and frozen peas -yum.

CCquavers · 09/07/2019 18:35

If your ds is hungry he needs food. Kids should have eaten by now. What do you have in the cupboards? Any frozen pizza? Sandwiches?

mumwon · 09/07/2019 18:37

do you have rice pasta or potatoes
do you have baked beans or tinned toms or passata?or tinned sweet corn or tuna or mayonnaise
do you have onions
so if pots: jacket potatoes if you have ones you can bake which you can have baked beans or tinned tuna mixed with sweetcorn & mayonnaise
if pasta & onions you can make a sauce with tinned toms or passata or even sweet corn/tuna/mayonnaise
rice if you have onions - fry them add curry powder & if you have frozen veg (ie peas or sweetcorn) you can add rice with water & add veg at that time
if you have onions &mint sauce - chop onions add a bit of mint sauce & serve as side salad

Sexnotgender · 09/07/2019 18:39

What do you have in? You can’t have zero food.

How old is DS can he go to the shops?

Otherwise takeaway it is.

IHaveBrilloHair · 09/07/2019 18:41

What are your takeaway options?
Most do something not too junky, I'd choose a chicken kebab.

stuckinthewrongbody · 09/07/2019 18:44

Just put DS a jacket potato in I'm just going to have a takeaway.

It's just been one of them days with DD being sick thrown me of a bit!

anotherbloodyname food is subject to Gamp's Law of Transfiguration and can't be conjured from nothing

ShirleyPhallus · 09/07/2019 19:25

Btw, around here Deliveroo and Uber Eats also deliver from the local Bugdens and similar so you can actually order in normal food (albeit at a huge inflation)

Singlenotsingle · 09/07/2019 19:26

So it's takeaway for 2 then? Or you share the takeaway and have half the potato each. You can't expect poor dc to eat a potato without anything tasty to go with it!

BMW6 · 09/07/2019 20:40

So what food DO you have??
