Can anyone please recommend anywhere? Preferably not too far from the theatre/station?

Thank you in advance.

Which theatre are you going to?

The gardeners cottage is near the playhouse, and is fabulous.

If it's the Playhouse then there are lots of choices just across the road. Easy to the station as well.
There are Italians, curry houses (Kushies is my favourite) but our all time favourite is Pomegranate which is Turkish.

ThePinkCushion · 08/07/2019 14:53

The Playhouse sorry.

Pomegranate is lovely.

There's a new Spanish place opened there. The Phuket Pavillion is amazing too. I'd avoid Giuliano's!

yogima · 09/07/2019 07:38

Apprently Pomegranate isnt Turkish its advertised as middle eastern...Lebanon, Moroccan and Arabian. Beautiful decor too.

iDontKnowMyElbowFromMyArse · 09/07/2019 07:41

Pomegranate is just across the road
There's a few Indians across the road too and Omni center for more casual dining

Or Harvey Nics is a 5 min walk and George street is only 10 mins with loads of bars and restaurants
Depends what kind of food your after

I'd recommend Educated Flea or Rollo on Broughton Street (5 mins walk from the Playhouse) rather than any of the Leith Walk eateries. Gardeners Cottage is lovely but pricy; more for a special meal than a quick pretheatre meal.

The Omni centre is jthe st up from the Playhouse with quite a few eating places including Nandos and Cosmo.
Pizza restaurant in Elm Row called the Jolly.
Chippy at top,of Broughton Street that does deep fried Mars Bars.
Ans as has been mentioned quite a few restaurants opposite Playhouse
