He never looked young, granted, but this is amazing.
Or did he have the foresight to deliver a speech on Brexit in 1994 which someone has just remembered and dug out :o

Yup, I was 20 when he was in power. I'm now middle aged and he's exactly the same. It's like Steve Martin. If you age young, you'll look the same decade after decade.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 08/07/2019 10:16

Grin oh god yeah, so true. Think he was born, fully formed, aged 53.

StealthPolarBear · 08/07/2019 10:16

I never remember him being this plain spoken and talking sense when he was in power either. That said I had no interest at all. I wish he'd run against Boris and gove! Would it be so ridiculous?

I think he is one of those people who has always looked old.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 08/07/2019 10:20

I agree

He doesn’t seem to have aged

TheFaerieQueene · 08/07/2019 10:20

It’s all the peas he ate. (Channelling spitting image. One of the best programmes ever made!)

StealthPolarBear · 08/07/2019 10:21

Definitely. In fact spitting image is the only reason I was aware of him as a teen
Maybe not. He was the pm. But I was particularly uninterested in any political stuff.

Coming between Thatcher and Blair it's easy to see why he is the more favoured PM looking back.
