I am a bridesmaid in 2 weeks and going grey so I stupidly decided to save money (we are buying a house) and buy a home hair dye, I have dark blonde/very light brown hair and I got a medium blonde colour. Thought it'll be fine but it's turned my hair orange Shock. I have used a toner on it but hasn't worked. Is there anything I can do to save my hair? I don't mind going a bit darker.

It prob needs lifting again to get to the desired colour , can you post a colour close up.? I always find the box dyes come up yellowy.

What box dye did you use? And what did you try to tone it with ?

The prob with going darker now is it can look greenish.

Thank you for your reply!!
I used Superdrug natural baby ash. The reviews were excellent so stupidly thought it would be ok.
The toner I used was Goldwell 10bs that I used to use when I had highlights, I think it was probably the wrong one for this colour.

I was thinking of using this what do you think?

Do you recommend anything to help lift it more?

It's not too bad, I'd prob use the same one again as it was an ash and see.

I wouldn't put anything else on your hair Because you could case so much damage. Box dyes are not great for going light unless you already have bleached hair. Go to a hair dresser!
