Ive done 6000 words so far of the 12000 needed just starting my analysis section but panicking as I’m moving house in next 4 weeks and also going on holiday so feel I should have done more.
Am I about where I need to be?!

Is your deadline September? If so you should be fine - 12,000 isn’t a huge dissertation and you’ve done half of it already. Do try to do referencing etc as you go along, because it can be v time consuming if left to the last minute.

Yes Percy September deadline - I’ve been surprisingly strict with doing references this time my undergrad one was a nightmare at the end due to references!

I'm currently doing mine also due in September and 15,000 words. I have pretty much written it all but that's cos I'm going on holiday soon and have other work to do over summer.
If I were you I'd aim to get a few thousand more words under your belt in the next few weeks as you'll want time to edit and rewrite. Good luck!

Mine was only 8000 words, but I did it in 2 weeks. I was working full time at the time and didn't have much spare time. So I took 2 weeks off and did it then. I'm also not the sort of person who can drag it out for weeks though, I like to start and get on!

I got a good mark though.

So I think you sound like you are doing fine!

So organised Sol 👍
Bop that is impressive to get a good mark to tbh I’m happy with a pass not expecting anything great mark wise.

I did a master’s dissertation. Sounds like you are doing well. My only recommendation is don’t have your child sitting next to you, wanting to go swimming when you are finishing off.

I had to take time off from my dissertation for a brain that went all foggy, just make sure you have your notes in order for the move and holiday.

A pass is still a pass. I think where everyone gets a distinction or a merit, the ombudsman gets interested and suggests that everyone's grades have been massaged.
