Accidentally swore at Granddaughter.

Yesterday, just as I went to get in the shower m, my phone rang. Stark naked, I went into the living room to answer it. It was my sister who wanted to know what time I was going to her house. As I was walking to the bathroom it rang again, this time it was my daughter, I told her I'd call her back

Shower attempt number three. My bloody phone rang again and seeing it was my son I said "This fucking phone hasn't stopped ringing", only for a shocked little voice to reply "Nana! it's me"

Did you apologise? If so I wouldn't worry about it. Children know what words are swear words but imo with my niece she doesn't replicate them.

Also don't be a slave to your phone. You don't need to answer it every time it rings, you can ring people back in your own time.

I did apologise, I said " I'm sorry sweetheart, I thought you were Daddy", She was on loudspeaker so he heard me too.

That's fine. Now go and have your shower Smile.

She'll be fine op. She has probably heard worse.

My mam and dad had their 3 gcs out in the park, all under 6 at the time. Driving home a car pulled in front of them and my dad yelled out ffs. My mam nudged him to remind him who was in the back and he shut up. No more was said and he thought he had gotten away with it.

Back in my brothers house one of the kids turned to his dad and said "grandad said for fucks sake". Grin

Don't worry about it! Put your phone on silent and have a nice relaxing shower.

One time when my mother in law was staying with us she called my then 10 yr old a twat!. She meant twit. We still laugh about it now, occasionally my son will say 'remember when gran called me a twat' it always makes me belly laugh. No harm done.

Why didn't you just get into the shower the first time and let the phone ring? I cannot believe people really drop everything to take a call.
