If you'd put your 2 year old's purse somewhere safe...

The one with really money in, rather than the one she plays with that's only got 2ps in. Granted it's only got £4/5 in it but it was for her to spend and we're going away for a few days on Monday so she wants to take it with her... where would you have put it?

So far I've tried in (and on top of) the wall unit, all toy boxes and the toy kitchen in case she got hold of it, and in all her coat pockets. It was a month or so ago I last saw it, and I'm 99% certain I put it "away" 🤦🏼‍♀️

I will obviously give her the money, but she wants her unicorn purse...

I was going to say on top of the kitchen cupboards, but it sounds like you might already have looked there!

Summertimeatthebeach · 06/07/2019 21:20

Do you use a different handbag to go away? We have a holiday straw bag!! Stash suncream /dc sunglasses and holiday wallets in!

BobTheFishermansWife · 06/07/2019 21:20

Have you tried
Junk drawer(s)
Wardrobe - yours and hers
Cupboard in the livingroom
Hallway cupboard
Understairs cupboard
Underwear drawer
Jewellery box
Under her bed
Bathroom cuoboard
Shoebox
Dogbed
Dvd/CD rack

Sock drawer. In a sock.

Elliemayclampett · 06/07/2019 21:24

In the kitchen cupboard where the teabags are. I shove everything in there

Namechangeymcnamechange11 · 06/07/2019 21:28

Sock drawer?
Bra drawer?
Bedside table cupboard/drawers?

ISeeDeadDandelions · 06/07/2019 21:31

I've just checked the kitchen possibilities and the cupboard under the stairs. Not there. Not in the play doh box either. I'll do the bedrooms tomorrow, she's asleep and is a light sleeper. I put EVERYTHING in the drawers in the wall unit or on the dining table but nothing. Only my own empty spare purses. Been through my own spare handbags.

We weren't planning on going away anywhere, it's spur of the moment, so no to suitcases etc, plus they're on the loft. It's not like it has £100s in and I've purposely hidden it well. Ffs.

Have also checked behind and under all the possibilities in the living room...

Is it possible she snuck it back if it's her favourite purse? What were you doing when you took it?

Bluerussian · 06/07/2019 21:51

Could you have already packed it?

I sympathise with you because today I have been unable to find two items that I put in 'safe' places.

daffodiltalk · 06/07/2019 21:54

You’ve hidden it behind something OP, so DD can’t see it and try to get it back to play with it!

ISeeDeadDandelions · 06/07/2019 22:03

Last seen when her DGM gave her a £1 coin, I gave her a couple of pennies as a swap (Grin), stuck her proper spendable money in the unicorn purse from her toy box as it had been on a shelf in the wall unit ,and put it away. I was in the living room...

I'm going to pull her room to bits tomorrow when she goes to her DF's...

BobTheFishermansWife · 06/07/2019 22:40

Could you ask her where she's put it tomorrow? See if she's picked it up and put it somewhere?

ISeeDeadDandelions · 07/07/2019 09:49

Well that's the bedrooms checked, and she looked totally blank when I asked if she knew where it was. I'll update when I find it the minute we get back from our mini holiday I guess 😂

Bedside table?

EatingBreadAndHoney · 07/07/2019 10:24

Time to buy an identical purse Halo

nolongersurprised · 07/07/2019 12:00

On top of a row of books in the book shelf, at a level above 2 year old eye level

Katinski · 07/07/2019 12:49

You,ve made me laugh out loud...a couple of pennies as a swap for a pound coin? GrinGrinGrin

ISeeDeadDandelions · 07/07/2019 15:22

Definitely @Katinski, she'd only play shops and lose it anyway... save it for an ice cream another day Wink She doesn't care what coin she has. She gave a lovely lady in Tesco 4p for a gingerbread man the other day (after I had paid, obviously)
