Calling or texting a UK mobile if they are abroad

Our family of 4 are all on the Three network and we all have Go Roam which is the international plan.
This year, DD is staying at home to house sit. I know I can text and call her within my price plan but if she texts or calls my phone whilst I’m abroad will she be charged extra?
I can’t seem to find a definitive answer please, I’d be grateful if anyone knew.

Why not use WhatsApp?

No, she won't be charged extra. It would be unreasonable for her to be charged extra as she wouldn't necessarily know that your phone was abroad.

No, 100% not.

Should have added that until recently I'd worked for a mobile network for nearly 20 years. Hence my 100% Smile

Thanks so much for your replies. Sorry for the daft question but WhatsApp relies on WiFi rather than sms then does it? So it’s always completely free?

WhatsApp also works on mobile data so if it can't connect to WiFi it would use data to send messages.

Also, all texts and calls are exactly the same as you would all be if in the UK, just taken out of your normal allowance.
