Where can I find a fab swimsuit for under £30?

I have 3 small kids, distasis recti (a podge), droopy boobs...
I used to be a size 8 with great boobs but now I feel podgy and knackered. Help me to feel better on holiday!
My budget is about £30. I want something patterned and/or bright to detract from my belly. No bikinis!
I am size 10 now.
Help me if you can. Thank you.

Google ‘fig leaves’ on Amazon - I have a few of these and I love them all! You can get a really good bargain on them too, they are flattering and comfortable.

This collection is unreal. Absolutely fab quality!!!

Would never normally look at Speedo as thought it was performance stuff but found it from this.

I bought a swimsuit in lidl recently for 6.99. Honestly its one of the best most flattering suits ive ever worn and i swim most days.

Its navy blue and has a gathered section across tummy, thick straps and moulded cups. I too have a 3 baby bulge and boobs look like they fed 30 not 3 babies.... but this costume is very flattering!!

Sainsbury's Tu swimsuits seem to get really good reviews and are quite cheap. Boden have a sale on at the minute and have some nice costumes reduced although I prefer to be able to try on swimwear before buying it.

Poetryinaction · 05/07/2019 22:25

Oh thank you all! This is great!

Cupshe! All the way. Just google it or look it up on FB. They have amazing stuff

MrsL2016 · 05/07/2019 22:27

I got one from Next that really holds everything in nicely round my stomach. £25

hsegfiugseskufh · 05/07/2019 22:29

George at asda!! I bought one last year and its the most flattering thing ever. It was about £8!

GreenTulips · 05/07/2019 22:29

Asda do tummy control and body shaping suits in bright colours

MamaRaisingBoys · 05/07/2019 22:29

I’ve got a fab one from Tesco recently

ritzbiscuits · 05/07/2019 22:31

Got a fab black body shaping swimsuit from Tesco. Slight gathering across the stomach and flattering plunge style bra top part.

Bought a couple of years ago only about £15 I think!

bluebluezoo · 05/07/2019 22:32

Like pp best i’ve found are the likes of speedo and addidas costumes for actual swimming.

The lycra is stretchy enough for comfort but tight enough to hold boobs up and smooth tummy. With the added benefit of being able to swim properly.

Have to say I dislike the cups/stomach gathers type style as i think they just draw attention to those areas. They look quite mumsy, probably because mums buy them to hide boobs/tummies. I also don’t know how it doesn’t weigh you down in the water.

Disclaimer - I am totally rubbish with style/beauty stuff - but when I went on holiday after birth of ds2 I bought a halterneck swim suit which I thought would be better than a bikini. On reviewing photos I realise I was wrong. Now I always wear a bikini even though I am a bit rotund and have enormous upper arms (which clearly no style of bather will conceal) and thunder thighs (see previous). So I think what I'm trying to say is it's not necessarily the bather with the most material that will be most flattering....

Notageek · 05/07/2019 22:44

I looked everywhere last year and the best one I found was in

Matalan ...and about 1/3rd the price of John Lewis

Poetryinaction · 05/07/2019 22:49

Thanks for all of these. Very much appreciated. Why are all the models so perfect? That gives me no idea about how the item would look on me!

I've bought 3 from Sainsbury's this summer - all less than £16 each and very good quality. Really rate Tu clothes quality in general - though sometimes their patterns can be mental!

Bout avenue have amazing ones in the sale for under £30

stucknoue · 05/07/2019 23:05

My favourite is from figleaves, was about £40 though. I have a Tesco slimming swim suit that's quite good for £15, it's a few years old though

RavenLG · 05/07/2019 23:11

I have swimwear from Melissa Odabash and Missoni but the one I always get complimented on is a plain black tankini from George. It does amazing things to my boobs and really pulls my waist in. I think it was about a fiver.
