What is this thing out of my fridge?

Just bought a second hand wine fridge so no instruction manual, etc. It has this weird tray in it (pic). At first I thought it would draw out moisture or something but the lines on the side say min and max, suggesting I'm supposed to fill it with something, but what? Do I just fill it with water?? What does it actually do? My other fridges have had none of this malarkey

Perhaps google the make and model number and look at the manual online? I have no idea what that is!

Perhaps I'm supposed to fill it with wine as a kind if offering to the God of wine fridges??

You must drink a lot of wine to need a separate fridge for it all!

Could it be a glass cooling tray?

Isn't it a humidity reservoir? I've no idea why they're needed but iirc you fill them a third of the way full with water. (My old MD had one at work in his office). Could you google wine cooler water tray?

Is it a drip tray for the defrosting process?
Best just fill it the wine though

How big is it? Very hard to gauge from the pic. Is it a tray the size of a shelf or is it small?

It's about 8" by 4".

@AnnieOH1 has it. The Amazon man dropping off a parcel has just confirmed it's a humidifier but that apparently it doesn't really do much.

I prefer the wine offering tray idea though ☺️

It's a humidity tray. You fill it with water and put it on one of the shelves.
Not sure why, our wine fridge has one too.
