Having a lovely, girly night in, and DD wants to watch a film.

Shes quite mature for her age, so I'm looking forward to something none-Pixar, but after a tiring week, I'm not very inspired!

What do your DD's enjoy? (I have Sky, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Not a humblebrag, I'm just a couch potato Grin)

The original Beauty and the Beast is wonderful. Well, the one from the 90s, not sure if it’s original.

My DD is 12 and we recently watched Wonder, Hunger Games.. watched 10 things I Hate About You last night but that's the first thing I've watched with her with sexual references... I think it would be ok for a year 7 but maybe not a year 6.

Chosennone · 05/07/2019 18:27

We've enjoy Mean Girls, Pitch Perfect 1, 2 and 3. Angus thongs and perfecr snogging.

FedUpWhatsApp · 05/07/2019 18:27

Freaky Friday and the Parent Trap definitely. Practical Magic? I love Hot Fuzz too but that depends on your gore factor...

PotteringAlong · 05/07/2019 18:28

Four weddings and a funeral is on Netflix!

user27495824 · 05/07/2019 18:29

Instant Family is quite good too if you want something newer

WeaselsRising · 05/07/2019 18:30

My 12 yo found Hot Fuzz horrific and made me turn it off. I'd forgotten that the gory scenes are graphic.

Spudina · 05/07/2019 18:30

Twilight? They don't get it on till film 4!! Ghost.

Nousernameforme · 05/07/2019 18:32

The decoy bride is a good rom com type thing but no raunchy scenes and no swearing afaik.
Its usually on netflix

Asitgoes · 05/07/2019 18:32

Hunt for the Wilder People is a lovely film

LittleScottish · 05/07/2019 18:32

Awesome - thanks all!

Love 4 weddings, but IIRC, there's some fairly cringeworthy shagging, isn't there?! Grin

The new female Ghostbusters? A bit of swearing but it’s A great film.

AuntieDolly · 05/07/2019 18:35

When Marnie was there

user27495824 · 05/07/2019 18:36

If she's a younger 11 then Harriet the Spy (90's one) or Ramona and Beezus, or Bridge to Terabithia? The last one definitely not a feel good movie and guaranteed to have you crying. I like to go with my old favourites like Honey I shrunk the kids, the Goonies, back to the future, bill and Ted's.

tadpole39 · 05/07/2019 18:37

Now you see me, if she likes magic shows and Jesse eisenberg, woody harrelson and mark ruffalo my son adores it.

SwingoutSisterSledge · 05/07/2019 19:00

The Goonies
