We're staying with a well off family for 2 weeks,I want to be able to contribute somehow but I don't know how or what ! They own a grocery store so I can't really do a food shop for them, they have a full time nanny so can't babysit , I can't cook them a meal as the grandmother insists on cooking everything.
Thought maybe a restaurant voucher but they don't eat out . Ahhhh!

Arrange for flowers to be delivered for a few months.

Magazine subscription.

I should also add that we're not well off! So any ideas welcome that aren't too pricey

Flowers & anything that’s local from you, some nice honey, jams fudge? Not expensive but thoughtful.

Decent hand soap and moisturiser for the bathroom?

YumyumAndyum · 04/07/2019 10:00

What can you offer that they can’t get locally?

For instance is your area known for nice honey / a particular fruit / a local vineyard where you could get some celebrated English wine.

I was going to suggest flowers delivered.
Small gift each for DC?

Nice local thing (honey, English sparkling wine), baked muffins for the kids, gift for the kids. We stay with various American friends a lot and I bring cute English themed gifts and books for the kids. Something personalised like pencil cases from noths?

These are brilliant ideas! Thank you!
