DD has always loathed sun cream, puts it on badly and then gets burnt. Can anyone recommend very light long sleeved sports T-shirts and long shorts she could wear for sports this summer?

I got my DC some t-shirts from Mountain Warehouse that have UV protection built in. They were short sleeved, but they may have long sleeved ones as well.

Another vote for mountain warehouse. Also she’s 12 explain why suncream is important and tell her it’s not a choice, help her put it on!

Brooks do UV protection light weight long sleeve running tops - try an online sports shop, such as Wiggle

And she'll need a hat which protects face and neck

Have you tried Ultrasun? It’s more like a clear liquid, rather than a heavy cream. I hate traditional sun creams as well, every single one gives me spots on my back and chest - it’s not an allergy but the fact that my pores are blocked by a far heavier cream than I’d ever use to moisturise. Anyway, Ultrasun doesn’t, you can also get a gel formula but that is factor 50. The liquid I use is factor 30.

Thank you all for the ideas; all look good. I have been very clear as to why it needs to be worn, but she still finds it a problem. The best cream we have found is the anti-sand one which isn’t greasy; can’t remember the brand.
