Knowing you need to brush your teeth & have a wee

I so nearly did this - but sat back down on the sofa instead with a nightcap....
Now I'm still downstairs, need to brush teeth, take off makeup and wee. Could quite happily sit, doze, chill on the sofa - but know I'd wake up a 3am: cold, tired, still need to take of makeup, wee and go to bed.

If I tell you to get up right now and do what you need to do, will you give me a similar kick?

Could you both drag me off the sofa too, please? I’m sitting with a glass of wine, eating a large chocolate bar, after earlier joining slimming world. 😳

Imagine the scenario. Nice little afternoon snooze, on one of the days when it was mega-hot recently. Dozing. Thinking, hm, the cats are very playful today, it's almost like they're playing football. Listening, hm, lady cat is making a chirrupy noise. She's very proud of something. Open eyes to see the little blighters had brought in a bloomin' bird (the older cat killed it quickly, thankfully, she's a bit more merciful than the young master, comes of having been feral her first two years). Aaaaghhhh. It's one way to stop me having afternoon naps... (the cat flap gets locked at night).

Will that do? :)

I lay on the bed in bliss instead of studying for my interview tomorrow. Shit.

OK - so, cleanyourown - get up, brush teeth, wee, and then enjoy lying down with no guilt.
S1 - finish the wine and chocolate with no guilt - tomorrow is a new day where you will syn your wine and chocolate.
Canny - go to bed now before the lovely cats bring you more presents
Madcat - you're not going to get any studying done tonight, go to bed, set an early alarm and study then. Have a proper breakfast, and huge amounts of luck for your interview.

Me - stay up late, drink too much whisky, feel like shit in the morning, and have a bad day at work..... (or get off mumsnet, don't have another drink, take off makeup and go to bed)

Can I come in? Supposed to go to bed and start counch to 5k tomorrow but instead have ate my way around the kitchen and had a bottle of wine... Not tired! Should teeth and bed. Make up is off tho so that is good!

Yay! Made to bed, but I’m now lying listening to the dog clean his bollocks. 🤨

When the new prescription of my meds that I have to take at night is still in my bag downstairs... but I don't want to go! I'm going...
