If you are a domiciliary care worker, what does your day look like?

I've recently got a job as a care worker going to people's homes after some time as a sahm, partly because it fits well with school and dp working hours, partly because I've done similar stuff for relatives and enjoyed it.

What does your day look like? How many hours do you work and do you usually finish 'on time' or do you end up working hours past when you are supposed to?

I'm just trying to figure out where I'm likely to stand regarding hours out of the house vs hours paid. The company I'm going to work for doesn't pay travel but factors travel time into each appointment and pays £9phr

I do roughly 7am till 2pm Mon- Fri. 7am - 2pm and 4pm-10pm on Sunday’s. My company are lovely and there are fairly flexible hours if you need to change around.

I don’t often go over time but obviously there is always the possibility that you will have an emergency to deal with which takes you over.

I’ve been doing it for 11 years and absolutely love it.
