Bob Lazar, worked at Area 51 in the 80s

I am obsessed with his story at the moment having watched the Joe Rogan podcast and then (to a lesser extent) Jeremy Corbells documentary..
It all seems entirely plausible to me and he seems such a genuine guy.

I just don't see him lying about it at all and I do believe the American government would withhold such huge information for fear or the social and economic repercussions of a whole new energy source. The economy as we know it would implode, yes making way for a new, infinitely more efficient power source but what would happen too the millions of companies trading on the old versions?

Has anyone else watched them?

If you haven't and are interested please start with Joe Rogans podcast rather than Jeremy's documentary (Bob Lazar, Area 51 and Alien spacecraft) as I find Jeremy's production very high school media studies style and quite annoying. I struggled to get through the ramblings of voice over actor Mickey rourke (why?!) and his strange special effects.

But the STORY is worth the shitty production.

Nobody else find this interesting?

I bet it's fascinating, but I haven't got time to look.

I also hate unfinished stories, and we're not going to know, are we?

SpookyMulder · 03/07/2019 17:16

I guess that's what makes it a mystery and gives it so much intrigue!

It's a bit of a waste of brain power that I'm sadly lacking at the moment! Until "the great conspiracy" finishes, and the truth is revealed, we'll just never know.

picklemepopcorn · 03/07/2019 17:21

Just call me Dana.

IGottaSeeJane · 03/07/2019 18:27

Given Lazar's background, I don't believe a word of it.

SpookyMulder · 03/07/2019 21:04

Care to elaborate? :)

I'm assuming you mean his arrest for using brothels.

Wheras totally unsavoury I don't think it discredit him as a scientist and the things he said in the 80s which only came to light as true years later.

What's the podcast called?

Found it, will download. Sounds good.

Thanks

We started watching something about him (Netflix) but got about 20 mins in and something stopped us, probably fell asleep (sleep deprived). At first I was very very sceptical because the documentary’s style did his credibility no favours - dramatic voiceover, silly/unconvincing montages etc. But then we actually ‘met’ Lazar I was surprised how credible he seemed. Normal guy. Going to listen to the podcast for sure as I am so intrigued by Area 51!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/07/2019 21:26

The question is, if aliens are advanced enough to travel to us and do whatever they do, and we humans aren’t doing that yet, how would we be clever enough to capture the crafts and attempt to reverse engineer them?? The aliens wouldn’t let that happen if they’d already managed to travel to us.

SpookyMulder · 03/07/2019 21:33

Yes the documentary is so cringey. The person behind it is incredibly annoying and I felt it almost detrimental too.

But the podcast is so interesting.

He said he knew that one of the nine crafts was an archeology find but didn't know the origins of any of the others.

What, like Stargate?!

picklemepopcorn · 03/07/2019 21:51

Love stargate...

73kittycat73 · 03/07/2019 22:03

Could you please do a little summery for now, for us folks that haven't heard about this and haven't yet watched the podcast, etc? Thank you.

IGottaSeeJane · 03/07/2019 22:08

I'm assuming you mean his arrest for using brothels

No. I'm talking about his claims about having degrees from institutions that have never heard of him or have any record of him every having been a student there.

IGottaSeeJane · 03/07/2019 22:09

nor have any record (before the grammar police get me).

Hirsutefirs · 03/07/2019 22:12

I’ve read this thread and it appears to have no meaning.

Should I have watched some film or something?

SpookyMulder · 03/07/2019 22:17

No not like stargate.

So basically this man, Bob Lazar went to Caltech and MIT and was an expert in propulsion technology.

In his spare time he made things like a mini particle accelerator and jet propelled vehicles.

He worked for Los Alamos national lab where he was interviewed and recruited for an unknown job.

Now at this point I have to say there is no record of him studying at Caltech or MIT despite many people coming forward and saying he was there. The records have been removed.

The records for him being at Los Alamos lab were also removed but researchers were able to find evidence of him working there in the phone book and a newspaper article.

His claims of working at Los Alamos substantiated he says how could a national lab hire him out of high school if he never attended Caltech or MIT? They wouldn't.

Basically he claims to have been recruited to reverse engineer alien space craft at an area of Area 51 called S4.

He describes in 1989 technology being used such as hand scanners that were refuted but have since come to light as being real and people have obtained photos of them etc...

He has been repeatedly raided by the FBI

SpookyMulder · 03/07/2019 22:18

Do you honestly think the US Government don't have the power to delete someone's educational record?

If he worked for The national science lab how would he be able to get hired with just a high school diploma and a massive gap in his life where his college years should be?

OP posts:
IGottaSeeJane · 03/07/2019 22:20

He has been raided by the FBI for selling explosive materials in breach of Federal law.
