Flies in Roof Lantern

We have a high roof with a roof lantern. The builders have been in and a load of flies have congregated in the lantern during installation
Any tips for getting rid of them please? It would need to be something extendable to reach them/fly paper. Eek what's best? The lantern windows don't open.

I have a telescopic dustervfrom Lakeland, it's great for reaching up to the lanterns as it's extendable, also have the longer flat duster for behind the radiators/under fridge and sofa. They're great!

Wait until,it’s dark and then lure them down with a lamp.

I think maybe the telescopic duster might be the best option.

I gave up and fitted a DIY electric blind for my lantern . The fly's now can't get up into lantern when I open the bifolds. Also keeps room warmer in winter. Took an hour to fit with my wife 4 mtr x 2 mtr. So quite a big blind but under £450 inc delivery. Made to order to your size. Happy to share

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but can you tell me where you got your roof lantern blind from?

We are plagued by flies there and then have a gross sight of dead ones laying on our kitchen floor the following morning...
