As title says ive just found a spot/lump on my dogs lower tummy. I thought it might be a tick but it seems to extend under the skin a fair way too. Do dogs get boils?

They can get fatty lumps which are harmless.

I don't think that is a fatty lump, it looks quite full of pus.

I think that’s a cyst or an abscess?

confusedandemployed · 02/07/2019 21:05

That looks like a cyst. Try not to panic. If so it's harmless xx

Looks like a boil, it’ll probably burst overnight anyway but the vet will sort him out.

Our cat had one on his little head, no idea it was there until green pus leaked out.

I’m no vet but it looks exactly like the boils/ spots my westie used to get- a bit like dog acne. We just left alone and usually they’d burst.
