Can you help me with a pregnancy announcement caption?

Okay, so, I know some people aren't for announcing on social media but I'm definitely one of the people who loves a good pregnant announcement!

I did the big massive paragraph and soppy speeches when announcing DC1.
People are going to be quite gossipy this time (I presume, which I'm not bothered about), and I'd rather leave it with a nice picture with a really short and sweet caption for baby #2, but not as simple as 'due __' etc. Maybe something a bit humourous that really subtly incorporates how unexpected this one is?

Something along the lines of...
"This year is unbelievably full of blessings'
or even something like
'Best oops ever'.

Or would a picture be better to keep it short?

I know I'm making a big deal about it but it's definitely one of my favourite parts of the pregnancy. With DC1 I'd announced by 12 weeks and I'm already 14 this time.

Well you can tell everyone you know individually, but I’d find it a bit weird and needy if most of my wider friend group did, honestly. I’m interested to hear that people are having babies - I’m not interested enough to demanding my own personal announcement for each one. And if I didn’t care about knowing at all then I wouldn’t be following them on Facebook in the first place.

I'm not great with Facebook, especially pics of myself, but did want to share our happy news after the 20 week scan went well. So I got one of those small Baby on Board badges from TfL (transport for London), took a pic of it in my hand and said' looks like I will be wearing this for the next wee while'. Was really lovely reaction from everyone sharing their love and positivity, I was very glad I did it. X

Nothing wrong with doing it on FB if you want to do a general announcement and your friends and family are widely scattered, but what’s wrong with saying ‘I’m pregnant’ without it being some kind of complex exercise in branding?

Also, if someone chundered on about a year being ‘unbelievably full of blessings’ on any form of social media to which I’m subscribed, I would delete them for dimwit cliché so fast I would have no idea what ‘blessing’ they were going on about.

My neighbours had a fun one... They took a photo of their child standing in the cot and made a fake eviction notice to hang in front with the due date of their next baby.

I think a photo of your DD with Big sister in blocks or on a TV shirt or something like that would be lovely

I know I'm an old gimmer but I'm bloody cringing at some of the suggestions here.

If it's anything like the one posted up the thread, it looks like an image from a Childline poster, a homelessness charity, or the unhappy 'before' baby from an ad for anti-nappy-rash cream.

People are deeply weird.
