DD's 8th birthday party this weekend, looking for inspiration. It's in a recreation centre so will have access to microwave but not much else.

For an 8th birthday, food isn't your priority!
Sandwiches - ham, cheese spread, jam
Crisps
Fruit bags
Frubes
Mini peperami
Kids will love it and can all be prepped in advance.

Mini pizzas
Rainbow fruit skewers
‘Dirt and worms’
Beach jelly cups

Cold pizza and chicken nuggets. I dug my heals in for many years saying no one would eat them cold but have now been proven wrong. First thing to run out.

Little squares of cheese & pineapple on sticks is always a favourite!

The usual party stuff -
Fruit kebabs
Tons of crisps
Jaffa cakes / party rings / cupcakes

Sticky sausages! This kinda recipe www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2360660/sticky-hoisin-sausages%3famp super easy, appealing to kids and get eaten up sooo quick!

Hot dogs kept warm in a slow cooker with a 'station' set up with buns, ketchup, mustard, cheese slices, onions etc. A hit with the grown ups as well.

Watermelon slices were the shock winner at dds 8th party

Pizza and then a ice cream factory sort of thing, lots of unicorn & mermaid sprinkles on ice cream, some sauces etc. Kids loved it.

FenellaMaxwell · 02/07/2019 18:22

These are always a hit.

I'll risk getting my arse handed to me.

You know you can order in advance from Maccy D's don't you?Grin

strawberries, hulled and halved. Even allowing 80g/child, they all disappeared!

gamerchick · 02/07/2019 19:04

Ive done jelly in disposable wine glasses and put gummy worms and jellies in. Those always went quickly.

There's loads of ideas online, get creative. Grin

Fruit!

Lots of colourful fruit like water melon, blueberries, stawberries, orange segments, banana slices etc

Cubes of cheese, ritz crackers, cold pizza, crisps.
