Please help me work out the cost of nursery

So its has been a stressful day for several reasons, plus I'm rubbish at maths but want to get this right!!

My little boy may start to go to nursery 3 days a week, full day at £60 per day
Am I right in thinking the cost would then be £570 a month, because it would be £720 total minus £150 Tax free childcare (£500 every 3 months).

Please help :-)

I think it's £624 if your nursery charges the same way mine does.

3 days per week @ £60 per day = £180 per week (60×3)
£180 per week = £9360 per year (180×52)
£9360 per year = £780 per month (9360/12)
£780 per month = £624 per month after tax free childcare (780×80%)

With tax free childcare you pay 80% of the cost, put that in to your account and the govt automatically adds the extra.

My nursery only charges for 51 weeks, so it does depend.

I get 624 as well
That’s how my nursery would work it out as we charge for 52 weeks of the year

Have you used the .gov calculator? I would agree with @cazinge calculation on face of it but don't know the tax free childcare rules well enough to proclaim expertise
