Any of you work mainly from home?

Hi

If you mainly work from home, which internet provider do you use & has it been reliable? I'm with virgin and every month the internet goes down and it's such a pain because I can't get onto the intranet without broadband connection. I need to change provider but not sure who to change. I don't need a phone line nor TV. Thanks

You need to talk to your neighbours, because it really depends on where you are and their networks.

But I've had talk talk who were good unless there was a bad storm. Now with EE and no problems so far. Would never go with virgin again.

I work mostly from home (exclusively at the moment) and I use TalkTalk. I'm in biggish northern city, and never had any issues with it.

Depends on where in the country you are.

If things are iffy I tether my laptop to my phone and use the hotspot.

I work from home and I have a separate phone for it. So my personal phone/broadband is with Virgin but my work line is with BT. In 6 years I think the BT broadband has gone off maybe twice, briefly. Seems v reliable.

Plusnet, but we can't get fibre optic here so options are limited. I find Plusnet customer services excellent for the few problems I've had over the last 7 years of mainly working at home.

Thanks everyone.

Everyone round here is on virgin, as virgin used to be the only fibre optic provider. Thankfully that has changed now. Will look into the providers you've recommended
