Throwing a surprise party tomorrow for Summer - what should I serve?

DS* is arriving tomorrow, Saturday, but is only intending to stay for 24 hours and will disappear on Sunday. I am not aware of any plans for DS to revisit - certainly nothing appears likely for the following two weeks as the temperature will be below average. I really want to throw a surprise party for Summer - what food or drink should I put out for him/her/it?

We are BBQing a leg of lamb.

DS (human one) feels no summer party is complete without Eton mess.

I thought about putting out some cheese and grapes, but when Summer was here a few years ago I turned around and the grapes had turned to raisins.

Summer fruit pavlova.

Rosé Sangria is lovely. Bottle of rosé, chopped nectarines, strawberries and mint. Juice of half an orange (or a couple of shots of Cointreau if you have any). Top up with fizzy water to drink over ice.

We're going to Ikea to hide away from DS! Grin
