Present for 12 year old girl?

Does anyone have any good ideas for a present for a 12 year old girl? DD has recently started a new school and was thrilled to be invited to a birthday party this weekend but doesn't know the girl that well and is paranoid about getting it wrong. The girl seems very nice but much cooler than DD!
Any safe ideas would be really great thanks,

I always go for money/ voucher these days, usually with chocolates! It’s the safest option.

Make up. Get a palette from Superdrug Like this one

Perfume - New Look do a few nice ones - £9 I think. I look out for Boots stuff when it’s on offer - soap and glory or tea baker sets. Got loads cheap after Xmas to save for birthday gifts.

Cinema tickets??

My DD is 12 next week. It's a bit of a tricky age as they are too old for lots of stuff but too young for teenage stuff. She has asked mainly for vouchers for clothes (either urban outfitters, new look or Brandy Melville) , plus they seem to be getting into skin care routines etc so maybe a gift bag with a few face masks, deep hair conditioning treatment , Carmex lip balm etc in. She also asked for a bucket hat which I had no idea about until I googled it !

Top shop sponge bag or top shop groovy socks with chocolate

Smallish Cosmetic bag with lip gloss in. If she has other makeup she can add things to the bag herself.

Thanks so much for the ideas, sounds like cosmetics/face/smelly stuff is the way to go. DD is so paranoid about getting it wrong!
