Alexa devices and Audible, can you share an account?

If each child had an echo dot in their room, and I got audible, would they both be able to listen to books simultaneously? Or would I need separate accounts and duplicate books?

Also would they need their own devices to put them on? DD has a phone but DS doesn’t.

Thank you, I am clueless so any advice would be great.

DS shares my audible account, we can both listen to books at the same time- but not the same book, obviously! Not sure about the need for a phone as this hasn’t come up.

Thank you, so can I ask where the books are “stored”? Or does it not matter because they are on your amazon account which is linked so it doesn’t actually need a device?

I guess if you want to play an audiobook you just ask Alexa directly then rather than having to choose it on a screen? (like on Spotify, I can either play from the iPad/phone but I can also just ask Alexa to play whatever and it accesses my account that way?)

Sorry I really am crap 😂😳
