Which venue is better for parking ( gig related)

Theres still a few tickets left for a gig I want. There's not much difference in travel time.
The choice is Manchester Victoria Warehouse or Leeds 02.
I haven't been to either. I usually do Manchester or Liverpool academy or Manchester Ritz where I know to get free or reasonably priced street parking.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
Thank in advance if you have.

You can get to/from Manchester Victoria from somewhere out of town by tram.

Thanks forall
I was hoping for street parking near the Warehouse so I could go straight home rather than getting trams.

Yeah you and every other person!

Yeah sure, it's just that I dont know the area. That's what I was asking for. I know where the 'pay and displays' are round by the Ritz and Academy
Just after local knowledge.

I don't know but use Just Park and book someone's driveway if there are any left. Much better to have a secured place if you can.

Thanks Ipodge.
I'm heading over to Manchester with work at the end of the week. It's going to be easier to have a look where the venue is i think.
I just didn't want to be turning up on the last minute to a gig in an area I dont know and stressing about where to look for parking.

Leeds and Manchester both have great train links and public transport in general.

I use the trains in the day time for shopping and days out but going to gigs in the city at night it is easier to drive as it's only an hour away by car ( with manchester) but the last train to our town is quite early so we would miss most of the gig and have to walk across the city to the main station ( and still have to find our way home from our town as after 20.00hrs the train does not do the extra 3 stops to near our house!!

I’ve always found Manchester horrendous for driving in and getting back out after. I’d go Leeds.

notacooldad · 25/06/2019 15:36

BusterTheBulldog,I find it ok at night. When I go to the 'academy,' 'night and day,' 'soup kitchen' , Ritz and the like I know my short cuts and where public parking is. I was just after some street names with parking that I could look into.

I think you might struggle due to the proximity of Old Trafford. All the carparks are for football permit holders only. Salford Quays is about a 20 min walk away.

Comefromaway · 25/06/2019 15:50

Central Manchester is much easier to find public parking.

Ah, I forgot about Old Trafford being near by!

And the cricket ground too. I had a look on Parkopedia and couldn;t find anything that wasn't private football/cricket event parking.
