DH has forgotten his dress shoes and will have have a short window at St. Pancreas to find a new pair before he hops on the Eurostar. I can find Dune there but are there any other options?

There’s quite a bit on offer! How long do you have?!

He's only going to have 30 minutes. The problem is most of those shops are tiny and have a limited selection. I once went there looking something from White company only to find it was teeny white company shop with a few bits and pieces. But thank you!

Have you tried calling ahead to see what they have in stock in the correct size?

here.. not cheap but near
Shops in Coal Drops Yard

How long has he got? Coal Drops Yard is a 10 minute walk but has lots of shops.

Sorry xpost due to my snail like typing skills.

WednesdaySpinner · 24/06/2019 16:59

I would ring ahead and see whether any stores have any in his size that can be reserved for him. Try John Lewis, Ted Baker and Dune. There is also an M&S round near Patisserie Valerie that you could try. None of the shops are particularly big so definitely ring ahead to save time.

St Pancras, please for the love of god.

It's St Pancras.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 24/06/2019 17:05

Grin yes pancreas is an organ in your body!

bluebluezoo · 24/06/2019 17:06

I was going to say it’s just under your liver on the right!

AnthonyCrowley · 24/06/2019 17:07

M&S probably the biggest.

TazzaRazza · 24/06/2019 17:22

Sorry, yes, not the organ! Brilliant idea to call ahead. Shop assistant not too keen but hopefully she will have popped aside two pair in his size. He really doesn't care. He just needs to not be presenting in trainers tomorrow morning at 7!

@AnthonyCrowley is the MS a big shop?

OP posts:
AnthonyCrowley · 24/06/2019 17:36

There's a food hall only bit near the Eurostar and then up the other end there's a clothes only m&s. Ive never actually been in but have looked inside as I've walked past and it looks bigger than any of the other options.

AnthonyCrowley · 24/06/2019 17:37

I mean it's not a big, high street shop. But all the other shops are proper tiny.

starzig · 24/06/2019 17:59

Where is he going? Does he need the getting off the Eurostar? Could he get something at his destination?
St. Pancras shops are only small and not got much really.

TazzaRazza · 24/06/2019 18:46

@starzig he won't get to Paris until after 11pm so st. Pancras was the only option. He did manage a pair at Dunes that they had put aside. Thank you all! He chose the ones with the awful green laces!

I rather like the green laces Grin glad he got it sorted!

Oneminuteandthenallgone · 24/06/2019 18:57

do you mean patent spats?

Oneminuteandthenallgone · 24/06/2019 18:58

Neither of those are dress shoes?

WednesdaySpinner · 24/06/2019 19:02

Glad he got it sorted! I can’t decide if I like the green laces or not but either way, what a relief for him.

TazzaRazza · 24/06/2019 19:26

@Oneminuteandthenallgone those are dress shoes to me! But thanks for help. Hmm
