Everybody’s Talking About Jamie - family show?

I keep getting ATG/other advertising emails telling me that Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a ‘family show’. Is this true? My DSs (7 and almost 5) are mad on musicals so I’m wondering if it’s worth taking them to this one or if they’d just get bored or if it’s inappropriate for their ages. I have no issue whatsoever with introducing them to LGBT+ content, just wanting to make sure it’s suitable for their ages in terms of not too much swearing, violence or nudity.

For reference, they’ve seen and loved the usual suspects (Lion King, Aladdin, Shrek, Wicked, School of Rock) plus quite enjoyed some more adult ones (42nd Street, The King and I). We’re booked to see the revivals of Joseph and Mary Poppins.

Thanks!

I saw it recently at the cinema with my 16 and 14 year olds (special screening). There's no violence or nudity, but it's quite sweary and there are references to sex.

Thanks secretfreckle. I had originally assumed it would be sweary with sex references given the subject matter, but then wondered if they’d managed to avoid that when I saw it referred to as ‘family’!

Older ‘family’ I guess. We’ll give it a miss for now (or I’ll just go with DH).
