Kate Spade bags

I’m considering purchasing a KS bag in the sale. The one I am eying is down from £350 to £165 less 20% in their flash sale - so makes it around £130. This is more than I have ever spent on a bag but I wanted to buy something really nice and good quality that says “grown up nice bag”. This is the one I’m considering.

Can anyone recommend, I was considering ted baker but looked at some reviews which rather put me off

Squiff70 I’m not sure why you’ve taken such offence at me answering your question 🤷‍♀️. It has reminded me though why I stopped using mumsnet as you literally can’t say anything, however innocuous, without someone jumping down your throat and finding fault. Thanks for the reminder !

trufflehunterthebadger You didn’t say anything wrong, people are just weird sometimes!

Lovely bag Smile I have a kate spade bag too.

They are really good quality. I bought one nearly 11 years ago and it still looks like new.

@trufflehunterthebadger you seemed to be saying that I as criticising fashion - or your sense thereof, and also suggesting that I'd hinted you weren't 'grown up' enough to know that your tastes won't change and that was absolutely not the case. I felt like I'd walked into a nest of vipers from your response to my reply, hence the backlash (which i stand by). I stay well away from controversial threads as I don't like attacking, nor being attacked, and simply could not see what I said to make you respond the (rude) way you did.

I’m not a big fan of Kate Spade but it’s a very smart bag

There might be other Kate Spade outlets. There’s one near us (York). I went then kther day and they had 1/3 of everything to start with then that day they had an extra 40% off everything so if you have an outlet near you then you might get a good deal and be able to see the bags in person

TK Maxx is also good for designer but not too expensive bags. I got a really nice Marc Jacobs bag for about £200

It's lovely and very good value at that price. I have a couple of her bags and they've lasted years without any issues with quality.

Squiff, it’s like you’re reading the op’s reply through a filter of nastiness and insinuation that isn’t really there. Reads to me like a totally normal, conversational explanation in response to your nice, conversational post.

I’m not meaning this as an attack either btw, and I’m sorry if you’ve had bad experiences of online nastiness but honestly, I think you misread her tone.
