Do you clean your nose piercing after it's healed?

I feel like mine is finally healed now, but it feels a bit itchy sometimes and also smells slightly 'cheesy' and unwashed (which i have had in the past with ear piercings). How do you take care of yours?

I rinse mine in the shower and use piercing deodorant.

Just wash it when I wash.. Nothing special.

Mine healed really quickly, without itching or any smells and I don’t pay it any attention now other than normal face washing. Maybe try washing it with warm salt water for a week & if that doesn’t work, have a chat with your piercer? The smell doesn’t sound right.

Thanks everyone, I know this might sound stupid, but when you say "wash it in the shower", do you mean the outside, or the inside? It's inside my nostril that feels itchy and (sorry if gross) when I scratch it, that's when I notice the slightly unwashed cheesy smell

Sn0tnose it's not like an infected smell, it's a faint smell of unwashed bodies type of thing.

Also, what is piercing deodorant please? I've never heard of it!

Had mine years but I wash around the outside when I'm in the shower. If I've had a cold or something and it's a bit horrible in the inside (sorry!) then I use some cooled boiled water on a Q-tip to carefully clean the inside.

What jewellery do you have in it? If you're using those cheap L shaped fashion studs they may be contributing.

I have a 14kt gold screw and haven't noticed any of the problems you mention. It doesn't even get yucky inside, the mucus membranes are self cleaning.
