Non-child friendly but chilled out holiday resorts?

After not one but TWO holidays where I've been relaxing by the pool in my pale, chubby glory and heard 'MISS LAMPSHADE' bellowed at me, I am determined not to go to any place where I am likely to see an English speaking child.

I'm going with my mum and would also prefer not to be anywhere with platoons of honeymooning couples, as that's a bit of a sore spot right now.

Any European ideas?

Just go to an adults only... mar senses hotel in Puerto pollensa Mallorca looks lovely and on my shortlist for an upcoming weekend break.

I went to adults-only in the canaries... there were two adults-only hotels in the area, we went to the 'other' one (so half the price of the more popular one!). Totally the right decision. Everyone was over 65 so it was quiet, no kids, and all the honeymooning couples were at the posh/v expensive adults-only one across the road so didn't have them either!
We had a great time! No biking judging/body shaming at the pool, the more active stuff was always available, no loud music, pool bombing, screeching kids, overt PDAs. Just lovely food, great (also quite)spa, and lots of friendly (but not overly so) OAPs
Do your research and you'll find somewhere great

There are adult only hotels in the Sani resort in Greece. It’s lovely there.

Switzerland for reasons - I can’t fathom as it’s fab -never seen another British child there.

I was taking adults-only to mean honeymooners, that's interesting.

I'd actually love to go to Switzerland.

This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

We always did the Tui Sensimar hotels. Adults only. I'm a teacher and didn't want to bump into students. During the school holidays there were definitely lots of school staff there but not many honeymooners.
