Warning people of a recalled second hand product being sold

So this has already happened but I just wanted a bit of clarification to see if maybe I shouldn’t have done it.
I won’t name the item as it’s outing but the item was being sold for approx £10 - so not masses of money.

So let’s say you’re on a local selling group site and you see someone selling a product that you have recently read has been recalled due to very dangerous reasons (I.e. more than 10 deaths), would you put a polite message explaining that the exact second hand item they’re selling has been recalled and put a link to the recall info (so they can it’s for real)?

Yes if I had an anonymous account. No if it was Facebook and the person could trace me. People can be twats if they think you’ve deprived them of money.

Pretty sure you can only see my name - settings are all private.
I would pay her the tenner if she found me and needed it that badly!
The product was recalled after 13 babies died so it’s not like I just made it all up.

Sorry - not officially recalled yet but most major U.K. stores have stopped selling the item, along with other similar items.

I don't think you were unreasonable but would like to know what the item is as a cm. .

It’s one of the baby nests. If I name the exact one, it would be outing for me. You can find it easily by googling. There is in fact multiple brands that have stopped being sold.

Assuming this is the sleepy head and yes you were right to warn them. I’m a midwife and am forever telling new mums not to use them who are shocked to hear of the deaths attributed to them. How they are allowed to be sold still is beyond me.

Thanks tasting the rainbow.
I wouldn’t have mentioned it but it was posted on a Facebook group I’m in the week before so I knew about it.
