I can remember bits of the music video - female singer, her face/body is painted up to look like a night sky I think, it’s black and glittery. And in other shots there’s no make up.

Just when I think I can remember the song it goes again. I’ve been racking my brains, googling like mad but no luck.

Not Kelis, I think the singer was white with dark hair and I don’t think she was British. Honestly I’m not trying to be vague, I used to be able to formulate proper thoughts, though I appreciate all your help so far!
It was also definitely makeup and not special effects as well.
