Just that really, if you work part time,
What or how many days do you work?
What do you do?

I’m a teacher and I work 2 days (Monday and Tuesday)one week and 3 days (weds,Thurs and Friday) the next week (in rotation)

Primary school teacher (independent school). I work 0.9 but on compressed hours, so do breakfast club and one after school. Have Thursdays off and Fridays only until lunchtime.

Kittykatmacbill · 20/06/2019 20:37

One full day and three short days that mean I can do the school pick up. Not very calming, am always late and can’t do my full time job, but saves a bomb in childcare!

knittedthrow · 20/06/2019 20:39

17.5 hours over 3 days. Currently tue/thu/fri soon to be mon/thu/fri

Average of 22 hours. Regularly Mon, Wed 9-5.30 and half day Friday and one Saturday in 4. Pharmacy, training as a pharmacy technician currently so lots of work at home evening and weekends and days off.

RainbowOfChaos · 20/06/2019 21:11

50%, so 21 hours over three days 8-4 with an hour for lunch. Usually til 440 to build up hours in case Dc are sick. 1 hour commute. Work Mon, Tues and Thurs as no after school club on Wed and Fri. Lab technician.

Monday is a brilliant day to have off in my opinion. I worked Tue - Fri teaching and my weekends were extra nice knowing I had Monday to get my act together before the working week stared!

BearSoFair · 20/06/2019 21:16

I do Monday to Friday, but only half days. 8:30-12 on Monday, 8:30-1 Tuesday to Thursday, and 8:30-1:30 on Friday. Retail supervisor.

motortroll · 20/06/2019 22:07

Teacher- I work mon, tues, fri. I'd rather not work Friday but I like working 3 days (otherwise I feel out of touch) and that fit in with my job share (who used to do weds ti fri when I worked 2 days after having a baby but wanted to go to 2 days) and also fits in with me as I have commitments on thurs evening which I have to prep for.

I'd rather work mon-weds as it would be nice to be home on Friday but I also like what I call my "2 weekends" not that it's very restful, I swear I'm busier at home!

AllGoodDogs · 20/06/2019 22:28

3 days per week term time only, as admin in a preschool. Ideal as I can juggle which days I work to fit in with inset days, assemblies etc for my own kids. Minimum wage and no room for progression within the setting but the hours, the fact that it's term time only, and the flexibility while my own children are young is priceless to me.

Wittsendargh · 20/06/2019 22:31

NHS Director, 9am to 2:30 but I'm have to be flexible sometimes and put the kids in after school clubs in order to make meetings. This usually happens twice a month, I have a good PA who tries to schedule meetings around my working hours. I have had these hours for 5 years and I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to climb the ladder whilst keeping the ability to collect the kids from school.

TheFatberg · 20/06/2019 22:31

Not as many TWATs* as I thought there would be

*Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

BlanketSky · 20/06/2019 22:58

Another teacher. This year Tue-Fri (4 days). Next year I am reducing hours and doing Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning (didn't get any choice!) 🙂

seven201 · 22/06/2019 16:08

@TheFatberg I have a colleague who works WTF. She has the same attitude about work too!

MsLumley · 22/06/2019 17:54

Tues to Fri, 9-5. I like the office atmosphere on Fridays, everyone's in a good mood and I get a seat on the train. I spend Mondays sorting out the house after the weekend, getting the week's shopping, and feeling a bit smug that everyone else is suffering the Monday blues 😉
