Trying to rearrange a Neurology appointment for DD 9.

Should have been seen in April, initial appointment for June.

June appointment cancelled with 24 hours notice and rescheduled for August.

Sods law, we're away that week, (having waited until the June appointment came through to book to avoid exactly this, because it's important we're seen as we haven't even had initial results yet and her school work and hobbies are being hugely affected, but never mind that....)

Trying to call to reschedule, or at least tell them we won't make the appointment on that date so it''s not wasted.

Been on hold now for 1 hour and 7 minutes.... was in position 4 at the start of the call.

Anyone want to take guesses as to how much longer?

Oh - got through to switch.... who dumped me back into the same holding thing, and..... I'm now at position 5.

Why can't all places like this have the same system that my local takeaways got if they don't answer the phone within 4 rings and automated message comes on saying they will ring you back as soon as they can and they did every time without fail within about 15 minutes surely bigger companies configure something like this and use it.

Not quite.... it took 1 hour and 43 minutes in the end!

At least you got through eventually, I was on the phone to EE this morning for about half a hour and then the line just went dead , , , ,GRRRRRR
