Me too. Wanna see a healthy relationship portrayed on TV?

Watch Great Canal Journeys instead of shitty trash Love Island.

Ratatouille76 · 16/06/2019 21:25

Yes they are lovely.

BikeRunSki · 16/06/2019 21:27

They are lovely, but it’s very sad to see her health declining in later Canal Journeys.

JaneJeffer · 16/06/2019 21:34

They're great.

ssd · 16/06/2019 21:35

It is sad but they are both so dignified and loving.

mogtheexcellent · 16/06/2019 22:21

What HelenaDove said. Its so lovely to watch them.

sparkli · 16/06/2019 22:32

DH and I love them, too. They remind me of my grandparents who loved travelling the world together, and were absolutely devoted to each other.

IamaBluebird · 16/06/2019 22:40

They're lovely aren't they. So comfortable in each others company.

tenlittlecygnets · 16/06/2019 22:41

Me too. He’s so protective.

StayAChild · 16/06/2019 22:45

Me too. A true love story. I had leaky eyes when Prue said thank you for a lovely life and Timothy West said no, thank you. I wish they wouldn't keep saying it may be their last journey.
I have only seen the first episode of this series so far, but I thought Prue seemed quite well, more so than some other episodes.
I felt it was all a bit much for her in the hustle and bustle of Vietnam; it can be very overwhelming, but she seemed to cope quite well.

Wolfiefan · 16/06/2019 22:56

Sometimes she seems just like herself and suddenly sometimes she doesn’t.
I loved that about a lovely life. That’s just what I would wish for all my loved ones. A lovely life.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 16/06/2019 23:00

Me too, it’s quality TV.

Ted27 · 16/06/2019 23:55

yes Stayachild, that was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, also the bit before when they got their outfits from the tailor and she came out in her new frock. The way he looked at her - magic

LemonTT · 17/06/2019 00:30

Yes they are lovely and can’t agree more a better representation of love than the Island thing.

Girlofgold · 17/06/2019 07:37

Aw. That's lovely. I will give it a go

cantfindname · 17/06/2019 07:44

I often well up watching them. I loved the one where Prue revisited her childhood home; she was absolutely lit up with delight.

A very special couple and I hope they have more years together yet.

Bravelurker · 17/06/2019 09:43

This show is an amazing tonic on a Sunday afternoon, hungover and hating life and politics. It's like a nice comforting cup of tea and chocolate cornflakes cakes for the soul.

White Cat Hello GIF

Mr and Mrs West must be so proud of Samuel as Sigfried in all creatures. Robert Hardy is such a hard act to follow but he is fab!
