Has anyone ever won anything from online gambling?

Online bingo, betting sites etc? I've never done anything like it but they seem to be really popular so I wondered if people actually win on it?

I played online poker and had moments of being ok. I had a few final table finishes that won me 3k, 7k and 1.2k. However I have terrible self control and used to lose loads. I think over about three years my net loss was prob approx £20k.
It was so hugely addictive. Wish I'd never started.

I do it as a part of matched betting. There are few offers at the moment as the gambling companies don't want to be seen to be cashing in on the pandemic by giving new offers to bored people in lockdown. Never had a big win - it's also so boring! But needs must, it does work if you stick to the offers.

I have a relative who made a good living out of it and did have a life-changing win, but I believe they’ve stopped now.

Know someone who made a living out of it and stopped after a significant win.
