Stories of revenge

I listened to MIL boasting about her brother for years, how he screwed the system, took backhanders and generally abused his position. This guy was rude and horrible, especially to women, but I couldn’t do anything as I couldn’t prove it, MIL could have been making it up for all I knew...

Until the guy made a mistake. He posted about an illegal activity on Facebook! The post wasn’t up for long but long enough for me (and as I found out later, several other) to screengrab. I sent my copy to the local paper. So did others. They duly printed it. It started an avalanche of complaints and the guy lost his job.

MIL doesn’t boast about him any more and he doesn’t turn up to family events.

Tell me your stories of revenge!

My revenge after being with an abusive husband for 13 years is to scrape together the little remains dignity I can muster, and leave him. I will love my best life and not let him break me.

I was single and literally just out of an abusive relationship when I started an affair with a married man. My mental health was not good at the time, no excuse I know. Anyway, this man pursued me and then later on dumped me. I was gutted, thought he liked me etc etc.

A few month later, when my mental health was better, following counselling, I wrote an anonymous letter to his wife to tell her about the affair. it was only meant to be for me and I wasn't actually supposed to send it but in a moment of madness in an attempt to ease my conscience I actually sent it to her. I was actually still angry at the man though and it made me feel better too.

Mywayornoway

I can imagine in a moment of madness me doing that. Did my thing come if it?

Did anything come of it?

My colleague called me a fucking bitch at work so when she left the room I spat in her milk (several times) It was very funny seeing her use it to make coffee 😂😂 And yes, she was the only one to use the Milk as we shared an office.

My ex who cheated on me with several women online had a extra ingredient added to one of his meals before I left - it came from the kitty litter box 😼

Sn0tnose · 15/06/2019 13:39

Is that it?! If ever there was a thread ripe for plucking by lazy journalists, this would be it.

revengepudding · 15/06/2019 13:51

Sn0tnose are you trying to snidely imply I am a journalist? Nope, just saw it on reddit, mostly work related, and thought it would make an interesting Mumsnet thread.

People are a bit ignorant on here about “journalists” 😁. There’s a big thing called the internet for them to choose from without having to start a borrowed idea thread lol!

No revengepudding I’m not trying to snidely imply you’re a journalist. That’s why I said that the thread was ripe for plucking by a lazy journalist and not ‘I think you’re a lazy journalist’.

Woman I worked with was an absolutely, vindictive obnoxious bitch. Her Facebook totally open so anyone could read it. She posted on Facebook that she had found a substantial amount of money in the street and was going to spend it.

Working in financial services, her line manager, their line manager, and the office head honcho big cheese got sent (multiple, and by quite a few people ) print outs of her Facebook page.

Shortly afterwards her employment was terminated. When she cleared her desk there was silence as we watched for on with our work. Wink

cantmovewont · 15/06/2019 15:42

Horrible thread and the sort of thing the DM would totally publish.

I don’t get the revenge one on telling the wife of the man she had an affair with as that is causing hurt to the wife who has done her no wrong.

As for spitting in milk over name calling that’s just revolting.
