Possible to lose 1.5-2 stone by August?

Clearly my body hasn’t got the memo that breastfeeding burns calories and I also have under active thyroid. I do like chocolate though

Is it possible to lose 1.5-2 stone by August? We go on holiday and I don’t want to sit in a beach feeling hot and uncomfortable in maxi dresses and leggings

My diet is quite healthy and not excessive I think it’s the thyroid issue but it’s apparently at the right level according to the gp

The only change I think I could make are cut out sugar in tea and coffee and not to eat chocolate (I have a few squares 4-6 each day)

How long have you been on thyroid meds? Do you know what your levels are? If you have been under active for a while it isn’t easy to spring back, though it will happen! What I’ve noticed is that even if I’m not at the weight I aimed at for a holiday, if I’ve been exercising and lost some at least I still feel better. You should not I believe aim to lose more than 2 lbs a week, so one stone would seem like a more reasonable loss. And you will see women (and men) of all sizes on beaches, they won’t be sitting in maxi dresses and leggings though! Is your baby still small? I think you probably need to cut yourself a bad of slack tbh x

Been on thyroid meds about 5 years now. My baby is 1, still breastfeeds quite a lot especially at night but it’s clearly not burning as many calories as I thought it would !
My tsh level is1.9 so perfect for me as 1.5-2 I usually feel good

It's possible. I also lost 2 and half stone in 2 months and 3 weeks for my wedding. I eat mostly veg and hardly any carbs. Plus run/gym 6 days a week.

I put it all back on in 8 months

That kind of weight loss gives you gallstones. Also it doesn't help with lifestyle change so you put it back on. Far better to identify permanent changes, bit by bit. And add in some exercise, even a brisk walk every day..
