He's all over the internet at the moment but actually he's mine.

I'm not having all these youngsters claiming my boyfriend. I was 14 in 1994 and Speed was my sexual awakening I tell you. I used to buy Just Seventeen cos he was always in it. I used to write his name on my pencil case and back my school books with his posters (ripped from Just 17 natch)

I'm not having it.

Keanu Reeves

There you go. Has anyone seen him and Winona in Destination Wedding. It's strictly for Keanu obsessives only.

The 'YOU'RE breathtaking' moment at E3 was very sweet.

I saw Speed 8 times in the cinema! I was 15 and in love Grin. I too collected clippings from Just Seventeen and Smash Hits, and possibly Mizz. I also sat through My Own Private Idaho more times than I care to count because of his beautiful presence. His leather trews in Much Ado About Nothing were admired. And he wasn't cool back then as everyone used to slag him off for being a pretty boy bad actor.

So back off kids, he's mine Grin.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 14/06/2019 12:33

Parenthood always bothered me though, why was he going out with Martha Plimpton in it when he could have been going out with me?

SgtFredColon · 14/06/2019 12:52

I’m the same age as you OP and I’ve loved him since Bill and Ted! So there. Also love permanent record

Felicicat · 14/06/2019 12:59

I saw him first! In Brotherhood of Justice.

And I know all the words to Point Break.

Actually, might re-watch it again now instead of putting away the washing.

LucilleBluth · 14/06/2019 13:06

ifigoup, SgtFredColon and I were teenage girls during peak Keanu.

I had friends who loved Mark Owen but I just couldn't understand it when Keanu was available. God how I wanted to be sassy like Sandra Bullock.

Did anyone read the recent Hadley Freem article in the Guardian. I'll go and look for it.

Right, I'm off to walk the dogs. Then I'm watching Point Break before the school run. What a productive day off. I have had a mad week in my defence 😀

I just watched Always Be My Maybe and he made the movie, seriously and I know because I AM AN F.B.I. AGENT!

Queenhoneybee · 14/06/2019 13:26

My mate met him in an airport & said he was lovely

BrieAndChilli · 14/06/2019 13:27

I've never heard a bad word against him, he does genuinely seem like a nice guy, but not in a 'look at me i'm great' way that lots of other actors come across as.
I think it is such a shame hes had such sadness in his personal life and hasnt been able to find happiness and a family. He needs to pass on his genes!!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 14/06/2019 13:30

I didn't get the Keanu thing at all until I saw Point Break. I do think he's got better looking as he's got older, when he was very young he was beautiful but a bit blank now he has character.

My husband has had a massive a man-crush on Keanu for years. We BOTH got excited seeing him pop up in "Always be my maybe" hahaha GrinGrinGrin

Frownette · 14/06/2019 13:51

Apparently it's sad Keanu day tomorrow.

His girlfriend Jennifer Syme was beautiful, such a tragic story

Whocansay · 14/06/2019 14:03

My mate met him a couple of years ago through work. Said he was absolutely lovely and not a prima donna at all.

Love his movies, but generally not my type. Except in The Matrix. For that I would make an exception.

64632K · 14/06/2019 14:13

Sweet November, don't really like romcoms but I did love this one

Deathraystare · 14/06/2019 14:15

I thought he was bloody dead with the thread title! Please don't do that to me on a random Friday morning.

I thought the same1 I quite like him but he is a bit expressionless.

Figgygal · 14/06/2019 14:18

He does just seem lovely and I loved his cameo in always be my maybe it was hilarious

Persea · 14/06/2019 14:21

Bloody love Keanu - have done for 28 years. So I’m staking a claim too! 😂

Figgygal · 14/06/2019 14:22

I watched a film of his last year where he cloned his dead family it was utter shite though

BobbinThreadbare123 · 14/06/2019 14:26

I think you'll all find that he's actually mine. Since Bill and Ted, in fact. Be excellent to each other!

SolitudeAtAltitude · 14/06/2019 14:31

he's breathtaking Wink

My teen boys are talking about how great he is. They seem to respect his non-bratty attitude (for a celeb) and for his modest lifestyle, and giving to charity, and the iconic status of the Matrix (and Bill and Ted), and for the sad Keanu meme

It's maybe part of the 90s revival thing, my kids are listening to Guns 'n Roses too, and saying how cool Slash is
