What do you use on your face when you go abroad if not makeup?

Hi there.
I am looking for something to put on my face while away instead of makeup.
Something that’s light and would make my face look healthy.
BB cream feels heavy on me and slides off.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thank you 💐

I was going to suggest a BB cream as thats what i use. A tinted moisturiser wiyh spf might work- boots No7 do a nice one that's reasonably priced

IStillMissBlockbuster · 13/06/2019 19:40

Nothing?

Threedaysaweek2019 · 13/06/2019 19:53

@Tiptopj I’ll have a look, thanks.

@IStillMissBlockbuster, well there is that idea, but I want my face to have a healthy look. I’m not sure it does without anything on 😂.

What about a gradual face tanner so you have a glow without having to put any foundation on? I love the St Tropez one, it's very natural.

Erinaz · 13/06/2019 19:56

Boujoirs do a nice light tinted foundation called city radiance plus its spf 30 . It smells nice and is nice an light on skin . It doesn't feel like a foundation more like a tinted moisturiser.

Threedaysaweek2019 · 13/06/2019 19:58

@Felipa thanks, I’ll have a look at St Tropez.
Natural is what I’m aiming for.

@Erinaz that’s on my list, thank you.
Some great ideas 🙂

Melvita tinted cream is really good. I don't like anything, heavy or sticky. It's light and gives a natural glow.

nixso29 · 13/06/2019 20:05

Mac do a fave and body foundation which is fab and just looks like skin but lovely and fresh, doesnt feel heavy either. Or I use a liquid illuminator just to give me a nice glow

nixso29 · 13/06/2019 20:06

*face not fave!

Threedaysaweek2019 · 13/06/2019 20:28

@LinoleumBlownapart, thank you, will look at both.
@nixso29, both good ideas.

Just face cream? Eg nivea?

museumum · 13/06/2019 20:30

Suncream.
Surely you look healthy on holiday anyway with sun fresh air sleep no stress etc???

ryanreynolds · 13/06/2019 20:35

If it's hot in the day, then I wear sun cream - if somewhere smart and hot I use a bare minerals powder suncream, if just hanging by the pool, I use a normal facial sun cream.

At night, I tend to start with the bare minerals BB cream which I find lovely and light and progress to just using a touch of powder on my t-zone and bronzer/highlighter once I have a tan.

Frith2013 · 13/06/2019 20:37

Nothing.

AriaFitz · 13/06/2019 20:41

The Stila one step face products. Either correct or illuminate, or both depending what your skin needs are.

FritataPatate · 13/06/2019 20:45

Clinique City Block: spf and light tint.

PinglePongle · 13/06/2019 20:51

Sun cream and then a cream based bronzer or blusher for some colour

Outsomnia · 13/06/2019 20:51

After brekkie I put on the face SPF30.

Nothing else all day, who cares?

But when going out at night I just blot with powder, a bit of blush, and lippie. Everything else slides off.

Believe me no one is looking at you, they are looking at themselves. Lesson learned for me!

Ciwirocks · 13/06/2019 20:54

La Roche posay do a tinted facial suncream so I use that with a bit of mascara. It feels quite light and it’s Matt so doesn’t make your face go all shiny

donquixotedelamancha · 13/06/2019 21:11

Apart, perhaps, from sun cream, why do you need something on your face?

bigredfolder · 13/06/2019 21:14

I don't wear any make up at all during the day on holiday.

If you don't like bb cream then what about a tinted mattifying primer?

Threedaysaweek2019 · 13/06/2019 22:55

Thanks all, lots of ideas, I might just go for a primer, coral lipstick and a little eye makeup.

I should have said, it was just for the evening, sorry.
I don’t wear anything but sunscreen during the day.
