Why did no one tell me the third trimester is a decade long?

34 weeks and BORED!!!!!!

I feel like I've been pregnant my entire life. If one more person tells me to 'rest whilst i can' I think I'll cry.

Pregnancy is simultaneously the longest and shortest time ever.

Maybe you should start plotting your first novel Grin

Newmumma83 · 13/06/2019 14:44

The first trimester felt longer for me. But I do remember feeling ready to have my body back ( haha! It still belongs to my son he is just not in it anymore ) and so ready to meet my little one.
I worked up until 2 weeks prior which helped make the time go x
How long do you have left? X x

BirthdayKake · 13/06/2019 14:48

35+3 here and I've decided I'm going to be pregnant forever.

I've already been pregnant since August (had a missed miscarriage and then conceived this rainbow baby straightaway) and have until July to go.

I'm FED UP!

Ah I remember this feeling so well... then dd went over and I had to be induced at ten days over! Little beggar was clearly far too comfortable whist I waddled about with a head in my crotch and a permanent scowl Grin

I reckon it was better years ago when people couldn’t test so accurately and you’d need a couple of missed periods to be sure you were pregnant so the whole thing only felt about seven months long. Thats plenty if you ask me!

icanthelpyou · 13/06/2019 15:00

But yea...rest while you can 😂

dustarr73 · 13/06/2019 15:06

And it doesnt help that everyone asks you the same fecking questions.

These last weeks do drag,im sorry. But you might as well restGrin

mynewkindle · 13/06/2019 15:26

Use this time to sleep while you can. You won't get any when your baby is here.

I remember it well even though ds is almost 3. Horrible, uncomfortable, hot, sore, itchy, angry & fed up. Commiserations and congratulations op BrewCake

Kez200 · 13/06/2019 15:30

Haha. Wait for a baby thats 2 weeks late!!!

Kez200 · 13/06/2019 15:31

If its your first then rest. Your life is about to change, big time!

Nobhobs · 13/06/2019 15:44

Ah glad I'm not alone. I'm slowly losing my mind. I can't take much more "how long do you have left" "you must be so excited" "rest whilst you can"

I have TOO long left. I'm more excited to not be pregnant anymore than I am to meet my baby (and I'm VERY excited to meet my baby) and I've been off work for weeks, I am rested and relaxed and Netflix is completed and now I am DONE.

@Nobhobs is it your first? 😂
This is my second and so far its going quite fast! Sometimes I think oh I just cant wait for him to be here I just want him out then I think NAA actually he can stay I'm forever because I am not prepared for the sleepless nights 😌 xx

TartanShirtGreyCardigan · 13/06/2019 16:48

I was like that until I went into labour, at which point I told all and sundry I'd actually changed my mind about having a baby. The gas and air made me so loopy I tried to put my shoes on and told DH to get me my coat Blush

TrixieFranklin · 13/06/2019 16:50

Urghhhhh completely agree.
I'm 37+4 but my twins were born at 36+6 so every day over that feels like I'm overdue now Blush

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 13/06/2019 16:52

I’m 33 weeks and have loads that needs to be done to prepare for baby while wrangling a 3 year old. It’s going far to fast for me. Last time it was from 37 to 41 weeks that went slowly.

Tootyfrooty35 · 13/06/2019 17:04

It's crazy how it drags so much in those final weeks but then once baby arrives then time whooshes by so fast 😭

AuntMarch · 13/06/2019 17:16

37+6 here. Had the shits yesterday and got very excited as know that can be a sign. But feeling annoyingly normal today.
I don't want another 2-4 weeks waiting and being too huge to actually do anything!

Nobhobs · 13/06/2019 17:23

It is my first! Yeah everyone warned me the last 8 weeks drag. I didn't first it too bad at first but as of the weekend everything is done.. the nursery is ready, we've finished baby shopping, the washing is done, baby shower over with, travel system assembled, hospital bags packed and in the car. I've got nothing to do now but wait. It's been a week of this and I just feel like, what now? I'm so bored!

Aargh I'm the opposite. 26weeks with surprise baby (number three) and it's going far too quickly. Still have loads to wrap up at work before summer holidays, house is a shit hole (moving stuff and rooms around), need a bigger car, need baby essentials like crib and pram still. I need more time!!!

teejayem · 13/06/2019 17:45

35+5 here at the moment. I feel like a beach ball on legs. I've been off work for 10 days so far and actually feel more exhausted now than I did while I was still commuting. My 4yo is cheerfully getting up at 6am like he normally would if I was still at work and no amount of late nights seem to shift his wake ups. Also entertaining a small child in this shit weather has been taxing to say the least.

Also getting to that point where I don't want to leave the house because I am a) huge b) sick to death of bloody people passing comment on a) and simple errands take forever and require a 10 minute sit down to recover.
Also I hate all my clothes.
Also I can only eat tiny portions
Also heartburn
Also shit sleep.

Ah it's a joy isn't it! Mercifully I'm having a planned section with a pretty much fixed date but my god it's dragging.......

EvaHarknessRose · 13/06/2019 18:10

I went 14 days over. We started booking theatre tickets and going out to dinner every night, daring it to happen.

Tryingtoswallow101 · 13/06/2019 18:10

40+6 here. Fed. Up.

And if another person says ‘well you’re just about ready to pop’ I will not be accountable for my actions.

Yes I’m pregnant, yes my tummy is big - THERE IS A HUMAN IN THERE!! Angry

I’ve also stopped answering the phone, it’s not as if I’m going to have had the baby last week and not told you mother, is it?!

Rodent01 · 13/06/2019 18:13

Cook. Everything you can fit in your freezer - you sure as hell will appreciate it once baby is here and you can’t be bothered to cook or even think about what to eat!!!

TrixieFranklin · 13/06/2019 18:31

It also doesn't help that I look like this
