Social services referral by police

The police have received (false) allegations of abuse about me (I have another thread on what happened) but am wondering how quickly I can expect ss to be in touch? It's been 2 days and I'd thought it would be the same or next day. How long does this usually take? There's a history of malicious allegations against me but I'm guessing they have to investigate each time?

My dh had an allegation made about him a few years ago also malicious ( I know as I was there) the police also referred us to social.services it took about two weeks.

I'd have thought that they'd be very quick of a child's safety was allegedly at risk.

@greyrockblock it totally depends obviously if they thought there was serious risk to the child the police would remove them or contact emergency SS, if its just an allegation with no clear evidence it will go in a waiting list to SS xx

They've just phoned. Lovely social worker and they've closed the case.

That's a great update. You've had a horrible time recently Flowers

That’s great news! Do you know when dd will be back with you?

greyrockblock · 13/06/2019 17:56

@Hemlock2013 you must have missed my update but dd2 was back the next day and dd1 was back yesterday. He'd said their was no safety concerns so they could come home Hmm More likely he realised how awkward it was to get them to school from where he lives!

Oh thank goodness! So glad it’s sort of sorted. X
