Boring question but has anyone ever laminated Polaroid photos

I have 2 , 21 yo Polaroid photos which I currently store in an envelope.

It would break my heart if they faded completely.

Has anyone laminated Polaroid’s as I’m terrified of ruining them ?

Try a reasonable sized photography shop.

They might be able to transfer them to elecronic media.

I have had 50 year old slides and some old photographs done by an old fashioned photograph equiment shop in my local city.. I think it cost about £1 each but I now have them forever.

I have never tried but my initial thought was that surely the heat of laminating would destroy them. Definitely agree with Flying, go to a photography shop. It's not worth the risk if they are treasured.

Scan them and make copies for laminating and displaying. You can even edit them to sharpen up the colours etc.

Store the originals in acid free photo boxes in the dark. Don't store them in magnetic albums or albums made with PVC or PVA. Laminating won't stop them from degrading or fading. They all do degrade eventually photo albums/boxes in the dark will keep them protected for a much longer time.

And NEVER use hot laminating. Cold only if you do. Which you probably shouldn't.
