Best place for glasses on a budget?

I usually wear contact lenses 16 hours per day but my optician has said this is no longer viable so I need a pair of glasses.

I'm on a budget but also have a strong prescription ( -10 in each eye) so will need lens thinning.

I've looked at buying online but am sceptical given my prescription.

Any recommendations?

DH has to have a lot of lens thinning and got his last pair of glasses in Asda, really reasonable, they just have 3 prices for complete frames, entry, mid and designer.

Worth a look if you have one near you.

We've both ordered glasses online before and had a rubbish experience so wouldn't try that again.
