I'm frustrated at work. I feel like I work very hard and don't really get any recognition. It's a very results led industry; my results are excellent. I look around and it seems the people in senior positions aren't working nearly as hard - yet they seem to be more admired. I have loads of ideas, knowledge and experience, and yet I feel like I don't have enough authority or ownership over anything to just run with it.
My career works fantastically with having young kids, but in a few years when they are more established at school I'm considering a complete career change.
So, two questions -can anyone relate to this feeling and have any pearls of wisdom?
What career do you have that you love and find fulfilling? I'll consider anything.
