If you are over 50 and work in or around London what work do you do ?

And how did you get into it e.g. retrain etc. Do you like it?

Im 37, kids 5 and 6. A very long way to retirement and i have no career path. Job pays relatively well, 9-6 hours, and i dont think theres any further to go nor any longevity in it. Am not building any useful skills, its a glorified admin job. May well be redundant in next crisis etc.

So, what are your current qualifications? And what would you like to be doing?

Retraining is an option at any age. Government loans are now available for Postgrad degrees and PhDs. (You have to apply by 60 IIRC.) And it’s perfectly normal to be at university in one’s 40s/50s or older nowadays.

Pointless russell group degree, qualified accountant, good academics, main experience working on niche operational projects. Just looking for different perspectives i guess.
