What has happened today that you're pleased about?

This morning I dropped dh off at work having negotiated extensive road works to get there . It was absolutely pouring down with rain and instead of trying to make the return journey through the road works I went to B&M.
I was the first in the car park and had the whole shop to myself for over half an hour. It was a strange but oddly thrilling experience not to hear kids crying and parents shouting as I went round.

Took coherent notes during a presentation then emailed them to my colleague who is off sick. She was grateful which was nice.

Heard small child read before supper. Winning- bedtime reading is always a rush.

Today I got a parking spot close to school in the pouring rain so didn't have to get drenched.
My order from Cath Kidston arrived and I'm really happy with it 🙂

Managed to negotiate the printvyiur own photo machine yesterday with dd so her dad has a father’s day gift.
Remembered to find out what dss wanted putting on his dads Father’s Day card after I badly failed and remembered to get him to write on it (and I thought i’d done so well getting it all in advance with him....)

I have managed to clear out and defrost half of my freezer (I can't switch it off to do a proper job). I ran out of energy to do the other half, I'll let DS "help" me with that tomorrow because he's fascinated by ice and frost Grin

I was on time for school pick up. In the two hours before pick up I had to travel 130km. (No speed limits were broken in this journey- it involved some unrestricted Autobahn, urban areas and two security checkpoints though)

I faced my (ridiculous) fears and took DD to soft play for the first time. She loved it, I wasn’t scarred.

Confirmed two job interviews that don't interfere with scheduled shifts and I've been contacted about a third possible job.

Getting a wash on before you leave house is impressive is an achievement
however getting a wash on AFTER you have left the house, now that will be seriously impressive ! GrinGrin

Today I felt really unwell but managed to shower, eat, sleep lots and spend time with the DCs after school. I didn't cry or lose my shit. Grin

Shortly after my last post, I reported the whereabouts of a vulnerable missing person and he was found by police.

I felt like a very inept spy as I was following him down the road and reporting where we were to a lovely and encouraging 999 operator.
