....what colour do you buy? My ds has just pointed out that I always buy pink- which is true- but which amazed me because I am not a “pink” sort of woman!

Yellow sponges with white scourer! I hate green scourer on sponges 😂

toomuchfaster · 10/06/2019 18:42

I buy pink gloves because that's what colour Tesco make them! Sponges depend on where I buy them, white scourer on green sponge at the moment.

i buy a packet of mixed colour sponges and either purple or yellow marigolds. I never buy pink ones no idea why Grin

MrsJakeLovell · 10/06/2019 19:13

Ha! I don't buy rubber gloves and have stopped buying sponges due to them disintegrating to micro plastics.

I do buy pretty dusters though...ridiculous in a house with boys - they probably think it's my job. Time to stop reinforcing stereotypes!

I buy the yellow ones with the green top, because my mum did (I’m 54🤣).

amusedbush · 10/06/2019 19:26

I usually buy the yellow sponge with white scourer because it’s the cheapest but DH bought a mixed pack last week and I choose a pink one to use first Grin

I have really small hands and the small Tesco gloves are pink.

Oldraver · 10/06/2019 19:29

White sponge with white scourer

And ye;low gloves as I have the 'kind to hands' ones. Well did but cant find them in Sainsburys now

Stop buying plastic sponges!!!! Use dishcloths which you then wash and get coconut husk scourers which you can compost.

wonkylegs · 10/06/2019 19:33

Gloves - whatever is in size small - currently both yellow and pink under my sink
Sponges - always white scourer which depending on where I bought them is a yellow or green sponge - try to stop using them, so wash them until they fall apart and have changed to a coconut sponge which is brown.

EskewedBeef · 10/06/2019 19:36

I don't buy either of those things. White dishcloths only here.

Stravapalava · 10/06/2019 19:40

I'm hard on washing up gloves so I buy Marigolds, which are yellow. I prefer the yellow sponges with white scouring side.

SmarmyMrMime · 10/06/2019 19:45

I rarely buy rubber gloves. The "small" is still an inch too long for my fingers so I can't feel what I'm doing in them.

Just non-stick scourers. Usually cream/white as that is what's there.

headinhands · 10/06/2019 19:46

I don't use sponges. I buy cheap packs of white cotton cloths and stainless steel scrubbers.

PickAChew · 10/06/2019 19:49

I have a big box of violet nitrile gloves. Rubber gloves make my skin fall off.

And I buy multicoloured cellulose sponges for in the kitchen, though use cotton cloths for actual washing up. I use the yellow, blue and green sponges in the kitchen and the pink in the bathroom - I don't know why, but in my head, the pink is the wrong colour for the kitchen.
